EGAT and Modernform Joins Hands to Revitalize Kamphaeng Phet’s Baan Thai Tawee School’s Library

The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) is joining hand with Modernform Group Plc to revitalize a library of Baan Thai Tawee School, Kamphaengphet Province, and to equip it with school supplies. On this joyful occasion, Mr. Tanongsak Tanapoonyanan, chief of the volunteer group and staff of EGAT’s design and construction management division and Mrs. Wipawee Sroyraya, Assistant Vice President, Project Sales, Modernform Plc, represented both organizations to deliver the library and school materials to Ms. Daorung Palasap, acting school director. The occasion, which was recently held at the school, was honored to have District Chief Mr. Sadudee Puttung of Khlong Khlung District, Kamphaeng Phet province, witness the hand-over.

Mr. Tanongsak Tanapoonyanan, chief of the volunteer group and staff of EGAT’s design and construction management division, explained that his group had organized volunteering work to support education during the past nine years with strong support throughout the period from Modernform Group Plc. This year, the project renovated the dilapidated library and also provided school furniture, teaching supplies and sports equipment to Baan Thai Tawee School in order to enhance education opportunities to the less privileged school children there.

Mrs. Wipawee Sroyraya, Assistant Vice President, Project Sales, Modernform Plc, added that Modernform Group had been given priority to sustainable development. “We are ready to collaborate with everyone to enhance living quality and social development. She said that this project allowed Modernform Group to do something beneficial to the society. “We were able to equip the school’s library with proper furniture and learning materials. This will not only enhance the learning opportunity for kids but it will also create an inducing environment for them to research, learn and read. It’s a way to share a favorable learning experience to Thai kids,” she said.

Baan Thai Tawee School, which is located at Kosampee Nakhon District, Kamphaeng Phet Province, is a small school. It offers classes from Kindergarten Year 2 to Primary School Year 6. The school is organizing a project to improve its premise and surrounding environment through support from a network of partners. The project mobilizes resources from various agencies to make learning opportunities of students in remote areas as favorable as those of students in bigger cities. The ultimate goal is to expose students to life skills so that they become responsible citizens when they grow up in the future. 

The event marks another great collaboration between EGAT and Modernform Group Plc where we not only help make our kids smile but we also contribute to social benefit by supporting and enhancing their learning opportunity.
