Bangkok receives eco-friendly furniture from “Modernform” ready to use in the park
Mr. Chatchart Sitthiphan, Governor of Bangkok received 100 pieces of eco-friendly furniture, Motion, Mixx, Mono models, totaling 299,000 baht from Mr. Yothin Nerngchamnong, Chairman of Modernform Group Public Company Limited which the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration plan to use in the parks in the Bangkok area.
For such eco-friendly furniture Made from plastic pellets from industrial waste or industrial waste called “LLDPE” is a linear low-density polyethylene resin that is recycled and formed. The roto-molding process has exceptional strengths, durability, high impact resistance, light weight, and energy efficiency in the forming process, superior to standard plastics in terms of environmental resistance. Mix, Mono, and Motion models are pieces of furniture created by recycling plastic trash to provide value to new goods (Upcycling) designed as a multipurpose chair that facilitates both work and rest based on seating habits, ergonomics, and usage in a variety of settings whether it's a home, workplace or public area.
Additionally, two design prizes have been won by the Motion furniture:
- DNA Paris Design Awards 2020: Product design /Furniture & Lighting, France
- European Product Design Award: Design for Society/ Design for Sustainability, Hungary
